Derek’s Newsletter – July 2021
“I build a lighted House and therein Dwell.”
Keynote for Cancer
A very warm welcome to all my readers receiving this summer Newsletter! May your summer be one of enjoyment and nourishment!
We have now entered the 7th. month of this year and the character of 2021 is now clearly showing itself. As we shall read in this Newsletter, this is a period of assessment. And yes, during this Cancer month of June-July, there is plenty of international sporting activity taking place providing lots of on-going assessment, with football, tennis, cycling and of course the Olympic Games hosted by Japan with the opening ceremony set for 23rd. July.
The assessment that I wish to direct your attention towards is more focussed upon the deeper meditational Keynote for the zodiacal sign of Cancer.
The esoteric Keynote for Cancer is: “I build a lighted House and therein Dwell”.
This is the Moon-ruled sign of Cancer, as the transit Sun enters this sign on Monday 21st. June, the Day of the Summer Solstice, longest Day of Light on the planet, and remains here until 22nd. July when the transit Sun enters the royal sign of Leo.
Astrologically speaking, the Moon provides the Personality form for the indwelling Soul, symbolized by the Sun. The “Lighted House” is a recognition of the quality of light that we are emitting, the combined light of our soul-personality.
3 SuperMoons 2021:
It would be wise to reflect upon the astronomical feature of past months as we have been experiencing a series of 3 SUPERMOONS.
The first one April 26th, called a Pink Moon, followed by May 26th. termed the Blood Moon, and 24th. June, the Full Strawberry Moon.
What is a Supermoon? A Supermoon is a Full Moon that appears larger than a typical Full Moon due to it being closer to Earth. A Supermoon in the world of science is determined by its physical distance from the Earth and a Full Moon occurring at a distance closer than 224,000 miles (360,000 km) is considered a Supermoon. Technically speaking, it will appear about 7% to 14% larger due to it’s perigee or closeness to the Earth.
The May Full Moon was particularly notable because it was the closet Supermoon of this year, at a distance of 222,116 miles from Earth, and it coincided with a total lunar eclipse which meant that it took on a reddish hue during the eclipse’s maximum, therefore earning the title “Blood Moon”. Here is a photo of this phenomena.
The May Full Moon is celebrated as the Wesak Festival of Lord Buddha so the occurrence of this Supermoon is highly symbolic for the experience of increased light to see more clearly the real issues that we are challenged to face, both individually and collectively.
But we have been experiencing 3 Supermoons, starting in April and climaxing at the end of June, and at every Full Moon something is culminating, reaching a peak. As the Moon is being emphasized and as it appears closer to us here on Earth, what does that symbolize for you?
For me, as the Moon represents our habit patterns of habitual response, this series of Supermoons challenges us to see clearly what habits serve us and what do not – and to make the necessary readjustments. The Moon on our horoscope provides a statement about our emotional self-image that reminds us just how connected or disconnected we are to our emotional well-being. After 1½ years of Covid lockdown, what do you need to nourish you? Many of my clients have shared that all they truly need is a physical hug – to be connected again!
So in this July Newsletter, I wish to continue exploring the significance of the Moon, and I’ll start with coming back to the Cancerian theme of Home, Family & Foundations, which stimulates the underlying themes of “belonging” and “nourishment”.
Here in Denmark my 3 kids have ended this year’s School term and at the end of June they entered their 8-week holiday period, and will return to a new school season mid August. So there is plenty of focus upon family & home, both here in Denmark and our summer holidays visiting our large Norwegien family during July.
In the days leading up to the Midsummer celebrations, I was intensely active in our garden, preparing the ground and environment, cutting down trees and putting up fences, so that we could erect a spectacular tent – big enough to sleep 8 people, and big enough to stand upright and walk around inside, as well as enjoy movement & dance.
It was perfectly appropriate that this new space in our garden was ritually dedicated to the Egyptian Goddess Hathor, a Guiding Light in this family and in the weeks & months before us, will become a focal point for my wife’s shamanic healing work with sound & music. Hathor is the Goddess of Joy and Enjoyment, music and dance, and my opera-singing wife Berit, will be offering intimate workshops & one-on-one sessions to stimulate our experience of these often forgotten and repressed emotions.
This marvellous space in our garden has already been enjoyed by my children’s friends as a sleep-over experience and Hathor is happily smiling…!
The Celtic Festival of Lammas & the Alchemy of Fire & Water:
There is much fire available at this time of the year and the transit Sun, a gigantic fire-ball has entered the water sign of Cancer. There is great alchemy available, as the experience of Calcination and the celebration of the Midsummer Solstice have activated the Yin principle and the transference of energy from the outer world to the inner world.
How do the elements of fire & water nourish your life?
When the transit Sun entered the sign Cancer we celebrate the Summer Solstice and when we reach the end of July and 1st. August, the next alchemical experience relates to the element of Water and the Celtic Festival of Lammas.
My readers who have been receiving previous Newsletters will know that I always make reference to the yearly cycle and how it has been understood & celebrated by previous generations & cultures. We can learn from the past and live in the Eternal Present.
The Festival of Lammas celebrates the power of the Sun and Water, and is the first recognition of our harvest here in the northern hemisphere. The alchemy of Lammas lies in the transference of Fire into Water, Yang into Yin, bringing transformation and change to our awareness. Lammas marks the gathering in of the grain harvest, the celebration of the seed that will feed us through the winter months and also of the seed that will lie dormant during the winter and be grown the next Spring to provide us with the following year’s harvest. It is a reminder to honour and give thanks for the gifts from the Earth, to bless the food that is grown and eaten.
This is a time of assessment, of looking at what has been achieved in the outer world through our feelings and inner understanding so that we can come to an awareness of their deeper significance. It is your experiences now that show you who “I AM” at this point in time and your own assessment of your journey helps you to see the path forward. As the Sun transforms the seeds within the harvest, so too are you able to transform your experience into new seeds for the future. Lammas assessment helps you to gather the seeds of new directions that you will take with you into the dark half of the year. This is the alchemy of Lammas.
Alchemically, all that has been achieved on the surface, out in the light, under the Sun, is released into the watery unconscious. This is the alchemical transference of Sol consciousness into Luna consciousness, the transformation of Fire into Water.
At this time there is the energy of the Sun to ripen the crops, yet rain is also needed to swell the seeds and the fruit. In the past cooking fires were honoured at Lammas, and beer, wine, cider & whisky were drunk, celebrating the transformative power of Fire & Water.
You need to ask yourself – “How do my achievements help my inner journey, my spiritual journey?”
Water and the Dissolution alchemical experience, teaches you to keep flowing, not to become stuck, so you can release yourself from the negativity of guilt or hurt, and move on. You do this by opening the heart and sending out unconditional Love, forgiveness & compassion to yourself, to those who I have hurt and to those who have hurt me. This alchemy opens the doorway to the powerful transformative power of Love.
The healing flow of Universal Love is a cleansing process that clears away the fears & hurts that are locked inside us and perpetuate the pain. Love is the catalyst that brings healing to the past, the present & the future. Use this Dissolution process this month to dissolve rigid attitudes, to let go of old beliefs and separatist thinking, and the old way of ”blame & separate”.
I am open to the alchemical path of “unite and heal” as I open myself to the infinite Flow of Universal Love at my core. I know that healing begins here & now, in this moment, with me.
“I build a lighted House and therein Dwell.”
When I meditate upon this Cancer Keynote, I am constantly reminded of this geometric image, the Triangle on top of the Square, which forms the obvious structure of a House with it’s Roof.
And so we have the 3 points of the Triangle and the 4 points of the Square, which leads to the association of the 7 Principles in Man.
The Trinity or Triangle, refers to the 3 energy centres or Chakras that we identify as: The Crown (Spirit, Pure Being & Bliss), The Ajna or Brow Chakra (Pure Light, Thought, communion with Spirit) and the Throat Chakra (Ether, Pure Inspiration, eyes turned toward Spirit). We can call these 3 the Trinity of Spirit – and Spirit requires the gift of manifestation, symbolized by the earthly Square.
Here we experience the 4 Elements that enable us to navigate our way through the physical landscape. We have the Heart Center which symbolizes the Element of Air; the Solar Plexus Center of Fire; the Sacral Center of Water and the Root or Base Chakra that represents the Earth Element.
All 7 are required to build a Lighted House in which we live, move and have our Being.
The Moon’s Nodes in the horoscope:
At this stage in this month’s Newsletter, I wish to highlight the Moon’s Nodes on the birth chart. The information that now follows is primarily astrological, but I hope that all my readers will profit from increased awareness about their significance. And, as we are travelling through the month of Cancer governed by the Moon, it is also very appropriate to honour their significance.
But first - What are the Nodes from an astronomical perspective?
The Lunar Nodes are the points in space where the Moon crosses the ecliptic of the Earth’s orbit. The Moon passes from North to South latitude at the South Node and from South to North latitude at the North Node. The Nodes movement is primarily retrograde, travelling backwards through the signs, about 19 months through one zodiacal sign and 18½-years through the entire Zodiac.
So when we are about 18½-years old, 37 years & 2 months, 55 years & three-quarters old, plus 74½ years old, the transiting Nodes will return to their natal place in our birth horoscope – thus attracting into our lives experiences which are directly related in meaning to our Nodal Axis, and which usually presents us with choices regarding the expression of our South Node, the development of our North Node and the integration of these two polarities.
And when we are approximately 9 & one-quarter years old, 27 & three-quarters, 46½ and 65 years old, the transiting North Node will conjunct our natal South Node, and the transiting South Node conjuncts our natal North Node.
This nodal reversal is particularly important because it introduces insights, experiences and relationships which may provide us with opportunities for resolving our nodal dilemmas and bringing our North & South Nodes into harmony.
Next – how shall we begin to work with the Nodes in our horoscope?
The Lunar Nodal axis in the birth chart is at least as significant as any of the planets, and of particular significance in regard to our psychological and spiritual development. The Nodes are not planets, but highly sensitive points on the horoscope. They have no substance and are physically non-existent – yet their influence is full of potency and spiritual significance.
Their role as karmic indicators of our life is connected with their power to cause eclipses. The eclipses occur during the Full Moon and New Moon periods each month, as they symbolically eclipse the Sun (consciousness) and the Moon (the mind). So they have a great part to play in darkening our perspective in order to bring in new light. During the eclipses the light of the Luminaries is darkened. The energies created are powerfully psychic, pregnant with new information and occult power. The period after the eclipse is considered a rebirth of the Sun and the Moon. In the East they are called Rahu (North Node) and Ketu (South Node) or the Dragon’s Head and Tail.
This is how they look on the horoscope – The North Node or Head and the South Node or Dragon’s Tail, upside down.
It is quite normal that most Astrology programs just represent the North Node on the horoscope diagram and not the opposite point, the South Node. This is not a mistake, but just be aware of this fact.
The role of Rahu & Ketu in this powerful alignment of the Sun, Moon and the Earth gives them the role of ultimate controllers of the Destiny. The concept of the Soul’s Journey through different lifetimes is central to this Nodal Axis on the horoscope.
The final goal of Vedic or Indian Astrology, is to break this cycle of life & death. Like the beads on a necklace, various lifetimes are joined together to form a necklace, each life being different but interconnected by an invisible thread. This invisible thread is Rahu & Ketu, the Dragon‘s Head & Tail.
The purpose of the Soul in this life is to act out one’s given Karma, destroy the illusions of the materialistic life and move towards the pursuit of self-realisation. The Soul’s journey in a particular life time and it’s connection with eternal life is indicated by the position of Ketu dealing with our past and Rahu dealing with the future.
Many of you are aware of the astrological fact that in order to evolve one has to move from the SOUTH Node to the NORTH Node, or that the South represents your Karmic Past and the North Node your Karmic Future.
The problem with this assumption implies the idea of evolving as being linked with a rather exclusively solar or masculine view, with left-brain dominance, with the South Node representing the Lunar principle and the North Node the Solar principle. Yet instead of viewing the Nodes from this cultural distortion, we can view them in a more fluid and dynamic balancing of opposites, working towards inclusion rather than exclusion. Indeed, I would want to emphasize the dimension of inner relationship with the Nodes, where they symbolize the path that leads to the conjunction or sacred marriage of opposites within, united in harmony and producing the Divine Child from the ground of our being.
Remember, the Moon’s Nodes consist of the relationship between the Sun, Moon & Earth – so they are rather like gaps, holes, points in space which I think of as windows into another kind of space & time, like a wormhole in physics, representing the interface or entry, exchange points between parallel universes.
If we stretch our definition, the Nodes involve not only our incarnate life, but also other levels of existence, some known to us and others not. Thus the Nodal axis have a great deal to do with important relationships, alliances with both individuals and groups. In this Newsletter I cannot explore the obvious significance of this statement regarding our most important relationships, so all I can achieve at this point is to drawn your attention to the Synastry between two horoscopes. When another person’s planet conjuncts our South Node, then our South Node is influenced and reinforced by the characteristics of that planet. Such links are often accompanied by a deep sense of familiarity and ease with the person. We feel like old friends from the start, which triggers off the thought that we have been together in past lives and have long been connected in consciousness.
A personal example of this would be my Virgo Moon, ruler of my 7th. House of Marriage, is exactly conjunct my wife’s South Node, and we have experienced several lifetimes together as man & wife. When we first met around 22 years ago, I knew she would turn my life upside down
in various ways, including becoming a father at the age of 50. There has been various sexual, religious and family karma in these past incarnations with the powerful desire to only want to have children with this remarkable female – and in this lifetime we have 3 children, 2 boys & 1 girl. It was “fated” that there is exactly 7 years, less one day that separate the oldest boy at 18 years, born 15 March from the youngest, my daughter born 14 March. One of the greatest gifts that we can offer our kids is of course love & support, yet also the great gift of being “conscious” parents producing very self-aware mature individuals.
My Indian Teacher, E. Krishnamacharya wrote his book “Spiritual Astrology” in 1966. Here is an extract on the Nodes.
“There is a deep symbolism in the Nodes. They work like the two Equinoxes. In the horoscope of a spiritualist, the conjunction of any planet with one of the nodes either at birth or in progression will create a great opportunity to raise his level and reverse the direction of the Wheel.
“The conjunction of Sun with the ascending Node causes a stir in Sahasrara (Head chakra) while that with the descending Node affects Muladhara (Base chakra).
A conjunction of Moon with the ascending Node causes a stir in the pineal gland and with the ascending Node in the spleen center. In the horoscopes of average people, a conjunction of the ascending Node with Venus, Jupiter or Neptune makes the subject instinctively spiritual and enables him to receive beneficial instructions through mysterious sources.
A conjunction of Mars, Saturn or Uranus with descending Node in the horoscope of an average man is very likely to cause nerve disturbances….
….It would be of interest to learn that the symbolism of the reversed direction of the Nodes along the path of the Zodiac brings under their rule, all the languages that are written from right to left…..”
The famous astrologer Dane Rudhyar wrote that at the North Node we are chewing & eating, implying effort as we build personality, bring new material into our life for metabolizing and assimilating. We bite into life at the North Node and must assimilate experience and make the effort to adjust to existence. And at the South Node is contained what one needs to eliminate and/ or transform or release.
Other astrologers have described “Resistances” at the South Node and “Excitements” at the North Node.
If you look again at the symbols for the Nodes you will see that the South Node is reminiscent of upside down earphones, and the symbol of the North Node is of earphones right side up.
When we turn inward and make daily choices in regard to our focus of energy, we might want to ask ourselves – “Are my earphones right side up? Exactly what am I listening to when I tune into the Cosmic Channel – the voice of the past, my old self, or the voice of my future, my newly emerging potential?”
North Node:
Our NORTH NODE points to a new path of growth and expression, a life purpose, or attitudes and behaviour patterns which provide us with deep levels of nourishment and open us to experiences of oneness, union and integration.
The Solar Hero must go on a Quest, to find something that has been lost, or win a prize. The North Node will describe something of the nature of the quest. The main plot, the heroic undertaking. So at the North Node we see represented a potential solar Hero who also runs the risk of being swallowed up by the Dragon – but – you just can’t kill the Dragon. The Hero’s weapon is the Sword of decision making, insight, balance & justice, rather than a club!
The North Node feels like where we are going – showing us where we are meant to go beyond our past. It is where we break new ground. And we may have to engage in something for which we don’t feel very well equipped. It takes effort, work and application of intention and will.
In traditional astrology the South Node was considered to be ruled by Saturn and the North Node by Jupiter. The Jupiter energy is that of growth and outreach, whereas Saturn tends towards maintenance and self-protection.
Often one has to battle with forces within oneself to become the sign that your North Node is in, or develop the House the North Node is in, just as it may be a struggle to fully develop the House where your Sun is placed in your horoscope at birth.
South Node:
At our SOUTH NODE are indicated behaviour patterns from our past, most likely early childhood and past lives, which operate compulsively and rigidly and often feel associated with our survival and identity.
Such patterns may also reveal innate talents and strengths which we utilize frequently.
At our South Node we experience a legacy, our heritage, because this is what you bring with you into this lifetime. This can be sometimes a specific ancestral quality, like an aptitude or gift for which there is no precedent in your family.
If the metaphor of reincarnation resonates with you, then at the South Node you may find echoes of what your soul brought here to work with. These ancient issues and pressures can support or impede the expression of potential and thus become very much part of the journey. But if you are looking at past lives, the Nodes lead into the timeless dimension, so see the whole horoscope.
Belief in reincarnation, like any concept, including psychological or astrological theory can trap us in rigid patterns of thinking and become an escape from the present. Some people ask about past lives as a way of pushing causality into another dimension. However, it would be naïve, indeed narcissistic, to think that this life here is all that is happening at any one moment. There are more things in heaven & earth than we know about, to misquote Shakespeare.
So it’s not a question of getting your South Node working and your North Node working and then live happily ever after! It is a dynamic process of continual balancing, becoming unbalanced and rebalancing.
In Kabbalistic Astrology, Tikkun is the Hebrew word for “correction” and Tikkun Olam is a concept meaning “correction of the world”. In appears in the Bible 4 times and it means to make straight, or repair.
So this Hebrew concept means an opposition to injustice and efforts to improve something and repair the world. In Kabbalistic Astrology, the Tikkun is represented by the Nodal axis and North & South Nodes together are seen as the keys to self-realization.
However, it is the North Node that describes the path or the correction to take in this present life.
I see it as a Snakes & Ladders game – the North Node is the Ladder and the South Node is the Snake, so as a board game, if you land on a ladder, you must go climbing if you want to progress. On the way, however, throw the dice again and land on a snake – and down you go to the bottom of the ladder.
This is a lovely image of the dynamic balancing of the Nodes. The True Node “snakes” its way through the Zodiac, weaving to and fro.
Rather than interpret the Nodes by zodiacal sign and in the 12 Houses, which any astrology student can do, I suggest that my readers focus upon the essential meaning of the Nodal signs in polarity and the lessons to be learned in regard to integrating opposing signs.
Here is a simple formula that you can easily expand upon.

The transiting Nodal Axis entered the signs Gemini-Sagittarius in the start of May 2020, with the North Node at 30-degrees of the Twins and the South Node directly opposite at 30-degrees Sagittarius.
Here at the start of July 2021 the retrograde motion of the transiting North Node has now reached 10 degrees Gemini. At the end of August it would have reached 6-degrees.
And by the end of January 2022 it leaves the Gemini-Sagittarius axis and then enters the Taurus-Scorpio axis.
Millions of souls are being born during the period of North Node Gemini & South Node Sagittarius. What is their karmic task overall?
And as this transitting Nodal Axis greatly influences the Collective – what are the karmic lessons for us as one humanity?
Are we learning how to communicate with each other as equals, to freely exchange information, ideas and resources? Are we taking the larger perspective of Sagittarius and introducing that world view in our everyday communications?
There is revelation in this zodiacal polarity, so what is being revealed to us as individuals and as the Collective?
If Gemini represents linear analytical thought, the left brain hemisphere, then the opposite is true for Sagittarius, the right brain and abstract, intuitional thought. It’s a bit like the metaphor of Gemini going around the circumference of the circle, going around & around, curious about new data, meeting new people and having new experiences, whereas Sagittarius functions like the diameter, cutting through the centre of the circle and linking the circumference of one side to the other side.
What looked like previously unrelated information or experiences, fragmented pieces, now is perceived through a new relationship, where everything is interrelated and interconnected.
This is why the Gemini-Sagittarius Axis in Astrology is what I call the EDUCATIONAL AXIS and we are being trained and educated to see and enjoy the dance between the inner & the outer realities. After all, we are to leave the tyranny of our focus upon the binary mind and move into multi-dimensionality, where there are limitless possibilities. The planets Jupiter ruling Sagittarius and Mercury ruling Gemini are being evoked – and this is a blending or fusion between the heart (Jupiter) and mind (Mercury) that ultimately leads us from the Halls of Knowledge (Gemini) into the Halls of Wisdom (Sagittarius).
The Nodal Axis of Fate & Vladimir Putin’s horoscope:
The Russian Leader Putin has recently been in the news with his face-to-face meeting with American President Jo Biden.
Let’s take the example chart of Putin and focus primarily upon his Nodal Axis, where we find the North Node at 20-degrees Aquarius, located at the bottom of the chart, at the end of the 3rd. House and conjunct the 4th. House cusp.
The South Node will therefore be at 20-degrees Leo and significantly placed at the top of his chart, conjunct the Midheaven or MC, the highest point, and less than 3-degrees away from the exact conjunction with the planet Pluto, modern ruler of his Scorpio Ascendant.
Before we launch into our interpretation, the next essential step is to consider the planetary rulers of this Nodal axis.
The sign Aquarius, which contains his North Node, has the traditional rulership of the planet Saturn and the modern ruler Uranus. At birth they form a dynamic and challenging square aspect, with Saturn at 17½ degrees Libra, 12th. House and Uranus at 18½-degrees Cancer, 9th. House.
It is only 1-degree from the exact 90-degree square aspect and the basic rule in astrology is that the closer the aspect, the more powerful it’s impact.
And then his South Node in Leo is governed by the Sun, which is in Libra only 3-degrees from the exact conjunction to Saturn and thus simultaneously squaring Uranus.
I hope you can see that by following this process, we can quickly establish a very close relationship between all these planetary factors and the working out of his Nodal axis.
And so, back to the significance of the Aquarius North Node and South Node in Leo. If Leo represents “the King” and Aquarius “the people” then this is the obvious problem of enjoying his past life behavioural patterns of being an autocrat, commanding and controlling people, functioning as a King, while the pull of the Aquarian North Node is the opposite quality, meeting the requirements of the group, developing a social consciousness that includes all, becoming a Friend to the World. Are we serving ourself or serving the larger group, the Collective society? Or are we emphasizing favouritism for special friends & special groups of interest?
With a Leo South Node Putin in past lifetimes, we can safely assume enjoyed luxury and expensive tastes, living in the limelight, and as a result, will not find it easy to do without. Pride has been reinforced throughout many lifetimes. There will also be various obstacles in marriage & relationships due to not respecting the partner as an equal, and this Nodal axis will require Putin to exchange his own independence for a new concept – interdependence.
There is, of course, great social idealism and reforming zeal with this Aquarian push into the future and the underlying theme of Aquarius is that Destiny singles out such a person to be a contributor to the progress of civilization – however constructive or destructive the contribution. The North Node in Aquarius is the mark of a true missionary, and having inherited such a Leonine power from the South Node, a person has the strength can accomplish the task.
Putin is certainly capable of helping humanity, as long as his own ideas do not become more important than the cause itself.
This is being emphasized when the two planetary rulers of his North Node are shown to be at odds with each other, the pull of the past and hierarchial positioning (Saturn conjunct Sun) with all the defensive fears of losing his position, versus the excitement of new social attitudes, greater experimentation and self-discovery through sharing the future (Uranus square the Sun). Will the group consciousness succeed and open out new bridges in communication (3rd. House symbolism plus Uranus at birth located in the 9th. House, one’s world view and international contacts) or, will this individual just dig their heels into maintaining their hierarchial position?
There will always be unfinished tasks at the South Node, always more we could do, but if we spend too much time operating from this perspective, we lose meaning and emotional connectedness, we lose contact with our inner source and experience separation both from ourselves and others. The South Node does indeed provide us with a foundation, many lives rolled up into this one position, but when we collapse into those foundations our lives become unconscious, automatic, unfulfilling and devoid of meaning – we cease to grow.
So when a planet is conjunct our South Node and opposing the North Node, that planetary principle represents a faculty that we have developed in a past lifetime.
Pluto is Lord of the Underworld and cannot be any surprise to know that Putin’s former career was as head of the KGB or secret police of Russia. Whatever planet conjuncts the South Node acts as a lens through which we perceive reality.
This factor is greatly magnified by Putin’s Scorpio Ascendant and Libra Sun-ruler Venus, positioned in 1st. House Scorpio – this man just loves power! There is little doubt that the secretive, behind-the-scenes tendencies of this Lord of the Underworld is at work when we reflect upon USA’s accusation of Russian cyber warfare, interfering with Democratic systems, or the poisoning and the obduction of any political voice against the System and Putin’s absolute authority.
This man functions like the old Tzar’s of Russia and there is no doubt that manipulation, violence and death, Plutonian characteristics follow Putin’s pathway, regardless how Sun-Libra with Venus in the 1st. House of Self-Identity might have us believe otherwise.
With Pluto as the archetype of Death & Rebirth, there is always the prospect that Putin as “Seed-man”, planting new seeds in society will eventually come to realize the great collective power he wields can be an amazing asset in more positive ways.
Pluto does not insure rebirth – it is the possibility of rebirth. But something must die, we must descend into the Dark Night of the Soul – and that takes faith & trust – enter the planet Jupiter onto the central stage.
There is the additional factor that the planet Jupiter at birth, located at 19½-degrees Taurus, 7th. House of Relationships, sits exactly at the midpoint of the Nodal axis, squaring both the North & South Nodes. Once again, planets connected to our Nodal axis illustrate planetary principles that are following us from one life through to this current lifetime. Issues of judgement are connected with Jupiter and good judgment means seeing the large perspective.
What would the astrologer say to the client who will soon be experiencing transit Uranus, the Awakener (and ruler of the North Node) moving into conjunction with the birth position of Jupiter and forming simultaneously the dynamic square aspect to the Nodal axis?
This begins next August 2022 and culminates May-June 2023 all the way through to March 2024. Very interesting….!
It will also interest you to know that President Jo Biden is born with his North Node in the first degree of Virgo, occupying his 9th. House, so the South Node is Pisces, 3rd. House – and at birth his natal Uranus at 2-degrees Gemini therefore squares his nodal axis.
In fact, the previous President, Donald Trump had his natal Uranus closely conjunct his Gemini North Node – and the President before him, Barack Obama had the same, a Leo North Node closely conjunct natal Uranus….and the President before him had……So what is the Universe trying to tell us with this obvious pattern in the USA’s Presidency? That, dear Friends, must be a separate article! But you can ponder upon what significance this might mean for the Aquarian society of America.
This has been a relatively long exploration regarding the Nodal Axis on the horoscope, for which I make no apology, but I hope it was stimulating and informative – and encourages you to work with your Tikkun Olam, correcting & repairing the world.
“I BUILD A LIGHTED HOUSE AND THEREIN DWELL”.
